Sigmavision Global Partnering Agreement with Hunter Engineering
Today Sigmavision is proud to announce an exclusive contract with Hunter Engineering Company for the supply of its patent protected 3D tyre measurement technology, TreadReader, for passenger car workshop applications. Hunter Engineering Company is a leading garage equipment manufacturer, headquartered in the USA, and will integrate Sigmavision’s TreadReader laser measurement sensors and software into their existing range of drive over Quick Check ™ vehicle inspection systems or install as a stand alone unit.
The new drive over tread depth system, available later this year from Hunter, was previewed for customers at NADA, 24-27th January 2014 in New Orleans, USA. The system integrates seamlessly with Hunter’s award-winning WinAlign® software to report up to six measurements per tyre. Results are displayed on the Hunter console and also presented on an easy-to-understand printout that recommends tyre replacement by showing a 3D model of the customer’s tread.
Dr Andrew Pryce, Sigmavision’s MD, comments “We are delighted to be working with Hunter who have integrated our patented tyre measurement technology into their equipment to deliver a significant improvement to workshop services and road safety on a global scale. This is a major milestone for our company and our TreadReader technology.”
