TreadManager and TreadReader App
When the TreadReader App is used to scan vehicle tyres, the vehicle registration number and, optionally, images of the vehicle are captured and assigned to the scan data. This information is used solely to identify the vehicle from which the scans have been taken. The operator of the App then uses this data when providing information to the vehicle owner/operator, in relation to the condition of that vehicle’s tyres.
Sigmavision does not have access to data captured by the TreadReader App when used by third party operators. When data is captured by Sigmavision, when directly using the App, the vehicle data is used solely in relation to reporting the condition of the tyres. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information.
The TreadManager Service is provided by Sigmavision to Tyre Distributors and Retailers to support tyre sales management. TreadManager receives data from the TreadReader App, including tyre tread depth and tyre wear pattern, together with the scanned vehicle’s registration number, in order for the data to be easily retrieved in relation to the particular vehicle.
Where TreadManager is integrated with a Distributor’s or Retailer’s eVHC, dealer management, or workshop system, the vehicle registration and tyre scan data may be combined with vehicle owner information. This occurs outside of the TreadManager system and responsibility for the security and protection of this combined data is passed to the Distributor and/or Retailer. Sigmavision is not responsible for the management of vehicle registration and tyre tread depth data when it is stored outside of the TreadReader App or TreadManager Service.
Through the management of TreadManager, Sigmavision receives all vehicle registration and tyre scan data uploaded via the TreadReader App and/or integrated management systems. Any analysis of the data is only carried out with the exclusion of vehicle registration details, and for the purposes of trend analysis or distributor/retailer activity analysis. All data is held securely on a dedicated server with the necessary data security protocols in place.
You can request details of any data held solely in relation to a vehicle registration and tyre measurement data for a vehicle for which you can prove ownership, and that the vehicle was scanned using one of our TreadReader devices, and providing the data was uploaded to our TreadManager service. You can request this data by submitting your registration number and contact details to email@example.com
